Sunday Night...

Chello! I'm back lol I decided to only blog like once or twice a week. I mean there's no point in doing it more cause im the only one reading this thing anyway. Sooo...moving on...

Today I did some community service with my sorority sisters. It was very fulfilling. so many homeless people came out to pick out clothing and what not. makes u sad thinking about the fact that they all are literally homeless. its freezing cold outside. know what i mean? it was crazy man... just crazy. But, I'm glad we were able to at least provide something for them to get through the rest of the winter with. I gave away a couple of my coats that were really nice so I hope they help someone in need.

Cleaned up my darn house today...well my room anyway. been putting THAT off for a while lol. i still need to do my darn laundry. I think imma do it on tuesday. I got my stuff out to go to the gym early in the morning. Only thing I need to find are my damn headphones smh. i have no idea where they are. its pissing me off. imma go take a shower in a sec and hopefully fall asleep by 10.

P90x is gone make me or break me!

Yup...I started this thing yesterday. Totally sucked :-( I did about 30 minutes and damn near collapsed on my floor lmao oh well. At first I was like damn u fat pig why cant u do this?! I was super tired...it was no joke man. But this morning when I woke up i told myself i just need to ease into it. And if I can do 20 mins 1 week, 30 the next, 40 the next, etc I'll be making big progress. SOOOOO I changed my attitude about that. Imma just continue to go to the gym and do my lil cardio for an hour and combine it with my 'barely making it' P90x workouts.

And when I say continue going to the gym...I mean start.

But anyway so this clean eating thing...i think i need to start making my own salad dressing. This has been the only thing in the past 3 days that I've eaten that I havent made myself. Imma go home and see wassup. I got a recipe for garlic basil dressing so I'd like to try that out.

Hopefully I can keep up this momentum. I looked at that salad and was so mad, cause I want FOOD....a big ass burger or something! But imma stay strong. Plus, I can have a burger if I want...it just needs to have high grade ground turkey...imma allow myself that as a lil treat this weekend maybe. I plan on baking my own bread this wknd so maybe i'll use that to put the burger on ^_^ owww!

anyway yea so i also woke up at 7am and did pilates today. it was only 10 minutes but thats because it was only a 10 minute dvd thingy lol i felt pretty good afterwards though. Im thinking maybe i'll do 10 mins all week and bump it up next week. Slow and steady, baby!

WELCOME....

to my life :-)

Soooo today, I shall start my blog. Just gonna throw out a few ideas for myself and see how far I get with em during the year. OK 1st off- this blog is just for me. If other ppl happen to read it- that's fineeee with me, and if you comment- EVEN BETTER. However, I'm writing this just for me so it'll probably be boring to others. I dunno. But anyway I say all that to say, things I type will probably be directed TO ME lol since this is for me. Anyway im just blah blah blah'ing....

My main new years resolutions are as follows:
~Lose 30 lbs
~Get HEALTHIER by eating differently, taking vitamins, checking my blood pressure regularly, and anything else that will help
~Skincare- be consistent. I've always had horrible skin but it's not that bad most of the time. I wanna see if I can get it normalized.
~Dress for the JOB I WANT. This year, I'm going to start dressing up for work. Yes, jeans and t's are acceptable at my job but I am going to start dressing for the job I WANT instead of for the job i have.

These next goals have a date of FEBRUARY 12th. That will be my "Check-In" date to see how I've done with these goals.

---No red meat. That's my first goal. By meat I mean beef. I don't eat pork anyway so i'm starting off by getting rid of beef. My last piece of beef will be today, only because I have some ground beef that is in my fridge and I'm not going to waste it.

---Which brings me to my next goal- STOP WASTING SO MUCH FOOD! Yes, for the whole month of January, I will vow to eat everything I buy! Utilize zip lock bags and tupperware...put things away and eat it the next day! Usually I'll put it away but end up throwing it away. No more. I must do better.

---Work out at LEAST 4 days a week. This is going to be hard, but I'm going to stick to it. I'll check in every week with this but for now I'm going to make a goal of February 12th as well, to check in and see how I feel, what seems different, have I lost any weight, etc.

---Take my vitamins everyday! THIS is super important. I'm going to schedule reminders on my phone for this. I haven't taken vitamins in years. Seriously. I need to do this.

---Start Wearing 1 inch heels to work. LOL now..this is just funny but whatever. I've been wearing sneakers and crap to work so long that when I put heels on now---they HURT! So, I gotta get it together. I figure I can start low and work myself up. I'm trying to rebuild my arch as well so I think this will be a good way to start doing that. I gotta google steps to rebuild your arch but I'll worry about that more for the next go round.

---HAIR CARE JOURNEY!!! I did so well in 2011...but not as well as I could, obviously because I was so busy. But now I have no school, no CMP, no nothing SOOOOO there are no excuses. Wash hair every week, dry under that expensive ass dryer I bought! It's sitting in the closet wasting space smh dont waste money....from now until Feb 12th I should have washed at least 4x's and did 4 wash n sets. ACHIEVE THIS GOAL!

---NO SODA

And....I think that's it for now. So, for the next month my goals are:

No red meat, no soda, gym 4x's a week, eat my vitamins, dont waste food, wear heels, go hard with the hair care.


This seems very DO-ABLE...so lets do it!
